Still recovering from an exhilarating and exhausting weekend at the Pacific Northwest Writers Association Conference. It was fantastic to be back with fellow writers finding inspiration and drinking coffee in person. The location on Lake Washington was truly gorgeous. Met some awesome new friends, reconnected with old ones, and had fun introducing it all to my dear friend and fledgling writer.

And to cap things off, Steamy Cup of Mayhem took first place in the Literary Contest -- Mystery Category. Excited to see where Babe Cuckoo and her adventures will take me next!

Excited to announce that "A Steamy Cup of Mayhem" is a finalist in the 2022 Pacific Northwest Writers Association Literary Contest in the Mystery/Thriller/Horror category. This is the second book in the Babe Cuckoo cozy mystery series. The first story "A Steamy Cup of Murder" was a finalist in the same category last year.

The eight finalists will now go through a second round of judging to determine the top three places. Winners will be announced at the PNWA Conference September 23-25. Send Babe (and me) a little extra luck on the 24th.

Cheers to my fellow finalists--perhaps our paths will cross at the conference and we can create a secret handshake.

My micro-fiction romance Cloudy Data was selected as Honorable Mention in the King County Library System's Little Romance Contest.

What happens when two very different keyboard aficionados are tempted to move out of the friend zone? 300 words of young love finding a way to communicate in a world of Cloudy Data.
